Winter Picnic With Stanley Thermos Mocktails

This post is sponsored by Stanley Brand but the content and opinions expressed here are my own. #Stanleyness

If you know me, and I think most of you do, you know that I love adventure. I can hardly go a week without having some sort of activity that gets me out of the house and into nature or the city. When winter comes, that need for fun and excitement doesn't go away. But it becomes even more important to keep up with my adventure routine during the colder months so that I don't get cabin fever.

One of my favorite activities is picnicking. I love to enjoy a delicious meal and great company while outside in the fresh air. So last week, I invited my sister and her roommate over for a little winter picnic where I served fresh fruit, homemade rolls, and mixed drinks (virgin of course, as I don't drink alcohol). I had just received this awesome adventure set from Stanley and had to break it in by creating some fun virgin cocktail recipes (see below).

We had so much fun using these Stanley products for our winter picnic. Stanley products are built for life; whether it’s surviving another outdoor adventure or serving as a reliable must-have for tailgating season – Stanley provides top quality outdoor gear. Since I don't mix a lot of drinks, I let my sister and her roommate keep a few of the items and I kept the ones that will be practical tools for all of my outdoor adventures.

To make the Eggnog Mixed Drink (Virgin), you will need:
Eggnog
Ginger ale
Cinnamon Stick
Stanley Pint

For this drink, you will want the ratio to be about half eggnog and half ginger ale. It will be quite foamy, so pour slowly to avoid spilling. Stir the ingredients together with a cinnamon stick then leave it in the drink for a little added flavor.

To make the Citrus Cider Cocktail (Virgin), you will need:
Apple Cider
Fresh Oranges
Rosemary
Stanley Happy Hour Set

Using your citrus juicer, juice one orange into a small Stanley cup. When you are done, pour it into the shaker and add your cider. The ratio for this drink will be about two parts cider to one part orange juice. Add a sprig of rosemary to the shaker, place the lid on tightly, and shake. Pour the contents into your cups and add a fresh sprig of rosemary for garnish.

It was so good to get out into the fresh winter air, even if it was a bit chilly, and have a small adventure with some friends I love. Stanley made the picnic perfect as it kept our drinks cold and secure.

Stanley products would make the perfect gift this season for your adventurous friend or for that guy that's extra hard to shop for. Be sure to check them out and add a little #Stanleyness to your life!
