Sporty Look

Oh, how I love layering seasons! Summer and I are best friends, and all, but the other seasons have just one element that Summer doesn't... layers. I love that I can take my basic Summer pieces and jazz them up by adding just one extra piece. My wardrobe always gets a lot more interesting once the weather cools down.

I love this look because of the sporty elements. It's still me... it's just "me at the sporting event". But really, I would wear this look almost anywhere- the store, lunch with friends, shopping, the park, etc. It can be easy to feel too masculine when you add sportier items to an outfit, which is why I paired it with the red lipstick. It gives it a pop of color plus it adds the feminine touch that the look was lacking. A good balance is key to doing a sporty look (unless you're actually playing sports).

hat- madewell
denim shirt- cloth & stone
shirt- c/o lulu's (similar)
pants- c/o lulu's (similar)
watch- c/o daniel wellington
bracelet- threads
chevron ring- c/o lemon drop boutique
silver rings- c/o fresh tangerine
shoes- nordstrom

Now I just have to work on the "actually playing sports" part... Or not. How do you balance the masculine and feminine of sportswear?

Playing sports is a whollllllle other ballgame. Literally (ha).

I think you've nailed the sporty look, especially because your hat has those cool details. A fun, stylish twist!
