Keep It Simple

For me, this year is about simplifying and living with more intent. This has included a lot of closet purging; I've been getting rid of a bunch of my belongings. I just want to keep things simple and clutter free. This process has me realizing the practicality of my wardrobe. So as I've gotten rid of things, I've added others that are more classic and will last longer. I've been working to build a more mature, practical, and timeless wardrobe.

That has meant that things have become a bit more casual, as well. This striped tshirt from SheInside joined the team, recently, and I love it. It's so soft and wonderfully oversized. I know it's something I'll reach for, all summer. To dress up the outfit a bit, I added my trench coat, which is always a classic choice and one I'm reaching for a lot, lately.

tshirt- c/o sheinside
trench- tobi
jeans- calvin klein
shoes- sam edelman
sunglasses- c/o proof eyewear
necklace- c/o the land of salt

What is your focus for 2015? If you've lost momentum since the new year, remember that you can always start now.

P.S. you can shop my closet HERE!

I've been trying to pare down my closet as well and to only buy things that fit into my aesthetic. I wouldn't call my style classic and timeless as of yet, but I do feel like it reflects me;) Loving your shorter hair, and those glasses!

I find that I like to purge my closet at this time of year as well. I have that as my tentative plan for this upcoming weekend.

I love the classic stripes! You can't go wrong with that.

I'm also looking to pare down and simplify this year. I just made a cross-country move a few months ago so a lot of the purging took place then, but my wardrobe still isn't quite what I want it to be! I'm finding my main difficulty being finances to be honest, but I've adopted a 1:1 in and out policy (for every item I buy, I get rid of one item) which seems to be moving things along slowly but surely.

This outfit is adorable, and looks oh-so-comfy! I've been wanting to try a purchase from sheinside for a while; has your experience with them been good?

Will you do a hair tutorial? I love your cute flipped to the side hair but I have no idea how to give it that "lift".

I'm feeling the same way as you. I'm planning on doing a complete overhaul of my wardrobe soon in order to simplify it.
