White House Garden Tour

A few weeks ago I was able to attend the White House Garden Tour. My friend was able to get tickets through work and invited me along. It was the perfect Fall day and the mood was light. I was a tad disappointed in the gardens... Compared to the giant lawn there really wasn't much, and the house kind of steals the show, anyways. It was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to be so close to the White House! We had a great time and then spent the rest of the day walking around the city, trying new restaurants, and wandering through shops.

You can see the podium in the back from which the President makes some of his addresses.

Gorgeous photos! I've never been so close to the whitehouse, you're a lucky duck! I've been meaning to get a tour eventually, but it takes so much planning to get inside!

Oh my gosh, this looks like a dream come true! I am a Kennedy obsessor, and have a lot of (nerdy) facts in my head about the White House, the surrounding grounds, and the gardens;) Lucky girl!
