Gentri Lee: I Don't Wear Pink, But When I Do

I Don't Wear Pink, But When I Do

This dress from Lulu's is one of my favorites. The shape, the print, the fabric, the details, I love it all. Recently I found this blouse while thrifting and I knew it would be the perfect thing to pair with this dress. The colors are almost identical which makes it look like it could be one piece rather than two. I was really feeling the "pink" color scheme this day and paired the outfit with red shoes and red lips, this kind of combo rarely happens for me. But I made up for it in lack of accessories... because I walked out the door without adding any, which is strange, too.

shoes- nordstrom

Do you like to wear pinks and reds? What colors do you feel most comfortable in?

P.S. you may have (or probably have not) noticed that things have been a little quiet around here the last week or so. I just started a new job and have been trying to find that balance again. I got so used to my "full time blogging" ways (aka not having a regular job) that I am trying to figure things out again. Things will hopefully be back to normal, now.

Love the dress!!! Such a darling shape and print! This summer I'm trying to make an effort to actually wear colour. My closet is full of white grey and black. I'm a minimalism kind of gal ;)

This outfit is magical, Gentri! I hope you felt like a fairytale princess! Seriously, everything about this combination is perfect, and you wear it so well!
I personally don't feel overly comfortable in pink, but this outfit is changing my mind on how I feel about the colour...

This dress is PERFECT. As a red head, I have a hard time wearing pinks and reds too. I always feel most comfortable in neutrals like black and grey. I know, so boring! You should probably wear more pinks because you look stunning here!

I like to pretend I am more original than to have my favorite color be pink... then I look at my wardrobe and see differently. I love your dress BTW!

woaaah that dress is a STUNNER- and i think it looks fabulous with the pale pink! I rarely combine pink and red together either, but this time it totally works. and hmmm, i never thought of what colors i feel comfortable in. I always feel extra pretty in red or a bright kelly green because of my dark hair color. Speaking of which, love how you styled your hair here! pretty girl :)
