High Hopes

The new year always makes me loss for words. I don't particularly enjoy the holiday, and even now, I can't come up with anything to say on the matter. It's a fresh start, but really, it's just another day.
However, I am looking forward to this new year. 2013 was filled with wonderful adventure, new opportunities like I couldn't imagine, and lifelong friendships have been formed. I have so much to be grateful for.
Yet, I am so happy that it 2013 is coming to an end. Along with all of the blessings- came a lot of trial. Opposition in all things, I guess. I am hoping that 2014 will give me a chance to breathe, a chance to focus all of my energies on building the new rather than fighting the old.
What are you hoping to find in 2014? The numbers even seem to have a fresh, crisp sound to them, I have high hopes for the future.

Do you have high hopes for 2014? Any resolutions you are determined to keep this year?

Gorgeous photos! True, New Year's is just another day, but I think it's a great chance to reflect on the past year and set some new goals. In 2012 instead of making a running "resolutions" list, I wrote down 4 big goals - and I accomplished 3 out of 4. (And if I had set my mind to it I could have accomplished the 4th one.) In 2013 I didn't write down any goals, and sure enough I didn't accomplish any of the vague ones I had dancing around in my head. I had a very wonderful 2013, but I'm looking forward to making 2014 a more goal oriented one.
