For this week's Be Fabulous Friday Link Up over on Sittin Pretty, I wanted to share some more from the makeup classes I've been taking. (which finish today! PLUS I graduate today!!! HOOOORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!)
For class on Wednesday, we did Decades Makeup. The instructor chose me to be her model for the Marilyn look. Something about my features being perfect for that classic beauty, yada yada yada. ;) It might sound like I'm gloating. But I had just been somewhat offended by someone and wasn't feeling very pretty, so her saying that (and she had no idea what had happened) was JUST what I needed. It honestly turned my night around.
Anyways, it was awesome, it was quite a lot of makeup... perhaps a little much... haha! But it was still awesome.

I do have a small upper lip, and they keep making it bigger using makeup... I promise I'm not actually puckering/ pouting. It's the makeup. I was doing absolutely zero posing other than turning my head. Makeup is crazy.

I used to hate my upper lip, it is small. But now, after two weeks of them making it bigger, I like it. I don't know if I can pull off that big upper lip look...
I actually have a freckle on my other cheek that I thought she would just use as the "beauty mark" but she covered it and drew this one on... go figure. haha!

On Tuesday we did editorial makeup. That was so much fun. Here's my look. I combined two that I wanted to try. I wish I had had different products, more paint type, but I think I made it work. :)

I've been loving these classes, and as ECSTATIC as I am to graduate, I will miss them! I am so proud of myself for making it through this program, and doing it well!

Oh, you can pull off the big upper lip! :) I seriously want someone to do my make up like that! FUN! Maybe you need to be Marilyn for Halloween. :)

I love how when we are feeling down on ourselves something like that happens to make us feel better. Self-perception can be a really odd thing sometimes.

super cool! being in the related field, I totally love doing makeup (but not under pressure, for like a wedding or something important) but editorial work for makeup is so elusive to me! i can't do it. editorial hair? got it down pat. actually, id rather do editorial hair every day than cut and color to be honest! anywho, im lurking on your page :)
