Breathing Space Blogger Retreat- Day 2

The next morning we were all supposed to attend running and yoga classes... Well, we're still girls, and it still felt like a slumber party, so there was no sleeping until 3am. None of us went to those classes. whoops... I actually had to get up early to go do that bridal makeup. She looked like Snow White, btw. :) So I couldn't have gone anyways.

As soon as I returned it was off to breakfast and then the makeup class! I was SO excited for this one and I'm incredibly happy that I went. Oh my amazing. Deidra Smith taught the class and she's FANTASTIC! Her resume is so impressive, I learned so much, and I pretty much want to be her. haha!
At the end of her class she offered to touch up our makeup. Megan and I took full advantage of that since we had had a sleepless night and needed a refreshed look. :)

Then for lunch we were able to pick from the restaurants in Daybreak and picked up our boxed lunches. It was delicious. They also had a giveaway during lunch and I won a flirty apron!
After lunch we took some time to shop around the market- Oh Sweet Sadie. So many cute things and so little time!
After shopping, it was off to Interior Design. The class was taught by Brian Clark, an award winning designer. He helped us understand the importance of decorating a home for YOU. It should reflect where you come from, who you are now, and your goals for the future.

My last class was Cooking with Liz- The Food Nanny! This lady is AWESOME! She's hilarious and inspiring. I could have listened to her all day. She's a firm believer in family dinner time, eating home cooked meals, and having a balanced diet. I haven't read her book, but I hope to some day and would already recommend it to all of you!

Then we headed to the last event of the retreat- The Cinco De Mayo Dinner Party!

Here we were encouraged to mingle with the sponsors, etc. But I spent all of my time mingling with the bloggers...

For dinner they served Cafe Rio, which of course, was delicious.

You can see how tired I was in this picture. Absolutely exhausted, I tell ya!

After we ate dinner, they cut the cake (which was as beautiful as it was delicious), and they had more giveaways where I won pajamas! Whoot!

Then it was picture time, yet again. We can't help ourselves! It was too much fun!
After all, who can resist such fantastic props?!
and you get to see this awesome picture, yet again. haha!

After chatting for another hour or so, we all headed our separate ways. It went by way too quickly and the only thing I suggested for next time was for it to be longer! I wanted more time! haha! Such a fun weekend, I couldn't have asked for more! (literally, I felt like I was stealing because of everything they did and gave us.)

I hope you felt like you were right there with us. It was such a blast and I only hope for more of these in the future. :)

I am soooo jealous of this incredible retreat! It sounds like you had so much fun and learned so much! Honestly one of my "pros" for moving to SLC in 2013 is being able to attend (and host!) blogger meetups so I can meet all you fabulous people ;)

I can teach you how to do the charleston...I was in musical theater all through highschool so I know alllll the different versions ;)

Wow that cake looked fake at first. Lol
It really looks like my type of retreat. Bloggers, makeup, and cooking?! I wished I lived near a place that had this! Boring Louisiana.
