Today we have Mandy from her blog Grace and Viola guest posting as Blog of the Week! She's still in high school but has more style in her little pinkie than I did in my entire body in hs and probably even now. I love her posts and her outfits, and I know you will too!
I am so excited to be featured on Gentri Lee's blog. She emailed me a few days ago and ever since I''ve been thinking of a post. I decided to do an outfit post with little fun facts about me. So here I go.
hat: vintage. dress/vest: urban outfitters. shoes: dsw.
My full name is Amanda Grace Lancia. My mother named me after a doll she had as a child. I never understood why I am officially Amanda if she always had the intention of calling me Mandy. However, I have never actually liked my name. I don't know what name I would have chosen for myself. I've always liked the name Lucy, but I'm not sure if it fits me.
I'm an ethnic mutt. I am Italian, Irish, English, German, Austrian, Bohemian, Czechoslovakian, and Norwegian.
I am the editor of the newspaper at my school even though I have an irrational fear of touching paper. Maybe I had one to many paper cuts as a child, who knows. The sound of folding paper is equivalent to nails on a chalkboard to me. I'm a freak.
A few years ago, I developed an allergy to apples. I don't know why or how, but eating one now closes my throat. This makes my favorite season of autumn a little less happy since I can now only look at caramel apples.
I don't own a bicycle. I've always wanted a neat, retro one, but I've never bought a bike. I guess this mug will just have to do.
I love elephants. As a child, I was terrified of them. Between the scary heffalumps of Winnie the Pooh and the loud elephants on the walls of the Rain Forest Cafe, I couldn't even stand to look at them. But somehow, a few years ago that all changed. Maybe it was the cute baby elephant dancing through the forest on the GE commercial that did it. Since then, I have collected many elephant items, including the softest stuffed animal ever. I have even thought about adopting one from Africa. I just need to save up a little more money.
Lately, I have been spending my days deciding which college to choose. Pro and con lists fill my notebooks, but I don't know where to go. I thought I would take this time to ask for some help. Do any of you lovely ladies have any ideas, opinions, or suggestions? I would love to hear what you have to say. I need all the help I can get.
Thank you so much Gentri for reading my blog. I hope that you all get a chance to stop by!
See? Amazing right? Now hop on over to her blog! I know you will love it!
