Baking Soda and Water make a great substitute for what is called "Desincrustation Fluid". What it does is soften sebum and follicles for deep pore cleansing! This is one of the steps to the High-Frequency Treatment I've talked about, but it can also be performed alone.
Make a good mixture that won't be too dry and pasty, but not too runny either. Rub it into makeup free skin like you would an exfoliant. I would rub it on for about 1-2 minutes, rinse with water, properly extract your white or black heads (Learn how HERE), then cleanse, toner, moisture, sunscreen.
I've got to talk sunscreen again here.
I'm sure you or someone you know has talked about how they love getting tan or even burned from the sun because it dries up their acne and clears their face, right?
Well, what if I told you that it's actually doing the opposite of clearing it? Yup. Underneath that dry dead layer that you just fried by not wearing sunscreen, is MORE oil than normal. Your skin is trying to make up for what you just did to it by producing more oil. So when that tan or burn wears off, your acne is going to be even worse than it was before.
Still don't like sunscreen?
Spray tans can be a great alternative to cooking your skin! Here are some tips for making them last longer:
- exfoliate your entire body (or whatever is getting the spray tan) beforehand
- wear baggy clothes for the first 24 hrs after receiving a spray tan
- don't shower, sweat, or moisturize for the first 24 hrs after receiving a spray tan
- after the first 24 hrs has passed, keep that tan moisturized!
You're welcome. :)
