Some Catch Up and a Dealio (or two)

Happy Thursday everyone. :)

First-
Sarah (one of my lovely sponsors and favorite bloggers) is the artist behind one of my favorite Etsy shops A Lost Feather. Right now she's having an awesome deal over at her blog. You can receive 10% off anything in her shop as well as the file for one of her beautiful pieces of artwork just by helping spread the word about her shop. (find more info HERE)

This Fox necklace and lion drawing are some of her pieces that I received for my birthday back in June! I love them. :)

One of my other favorite pieces in her shop would be this arrowhead necklace (in the rose color). But really, there are just too many amazing things to choose from!
Also, if you live in the Utah area and have admitted that you like Twilight (come on, admit it already) then you should hop over and enter THIS giveaway for a chance to win some Twilight goodies as well as TWO tickets to a 6pm showing the DAY BEFORE Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 is released! Whoop!

And if you're one of THOSE no reply bloggers (If you don't know what I'm talking about- you probably are) then head over HERE and get with the times! haha!

***

Here are a few instagrams to catch you up on what's been going on in my life... not much really.
Photobucket

1. I have a really high forehead (five head), and I have a question for you- Is it a bad thing to wear my hair straight back or should I embrace it like Tyra (banks) says? And what are your thoughts on manbands?? I saw this guy sporting one at church this last Sunday and I gotta say- I wasn't a fan... :/ What do you think?

2. I am reading Matched right now, I haven't gotten very far yet (which is weird considering I usually finish in one day) but so far- so good! And I enjoyed some pumpkin frozen yogurt. Yum.

3. While I can't stand the thought of snow- I gotta say that the way the mountains look during a storm are breathtaking.

Other than this terrible and annoying cold- my week has been pretty quiet. How has your week been going?

P.S. Don't forget to enter the Secret Life of Bee Print Giveaway I announced yesterday!!

Sarah is one of my fav bloggers too!

I think your forehead looks perfectly normal. Embrace it because your hair looks super cute pulled back too!

LOVE those mountains... I need to come visit!

I haven't seen enough manbands to really decide but as a gal who has always had some form of bangs to hide her enormous forehead I will offer you this: I started wearing the slicked back high bun a la Carrie Bradshaw just this year and I've gotten more compliments wearing my hair that way than I have other ways, and I usually think I look like a goof. But apparently others see what I don't. Embrace it girl!

Love your instagrams girl, you totally got me into them :) I didn't notice anything about your forehead, I think you could wear your hair in any style.

Also dying, dying over manbands. I haven't seen any in person yet, can't wait to now!

That is one thing I always miss about living in Colorado - the mountains when a storm rolled in. It was always so beautiful, and it was amazing how you could see the storm coming. Hope you feel better!! And as for your forehead - embrace it! :)

Your forehead is beautiful! Seriously looks great with your hair pulled back.
NOT a fan of manbands. I think I know who that person may be...looks like an Albrecht to me. :)

Never heard of Matched, should I read it?

Wow...super cute pieces from Sarah! Making a mental note to check her shop out!
In regards to forheads and headbands. I would've NEVER noticed your forehead at all if you didn't mention it. You are gorgeous with your hair back! And manbands...no thank you. Leave headbands to us girls!
I had been going back and forth about giving Matched a try...I'll have to add it to my "to read" list.

PS - I want some pumpkin frozen yogurt stat! :)

I'm going to hop on over to that esty shop now! Love your items from her!

Those mountains look gorgeous! I'd say no to the manbands and I'd say your forehead is not abnormal my darling. You are too cute.

hahah manbands? really? at church?! I think guys can wear them when running but to church? lets get real people! And I wanna go see breaking dawn! Just out of curiosity, I'm not a huge twilight fan but this movie looks kinda good!

Also, this is Candace haha I didn't feel like signing out of Andre's account sooo dis is me. Cause I'm on her computer. And I dislike when people sign out of my stuff and I have to resign into everything. ha okay I'm done.

I didn't even notice you had a high forehead! With all your hair piled on top of your head, it looks fine! But I'm not a fan of the slicked back ponytail Tyra does. That really does make her forehead look large.

This was my first time seeing a manband. That hasn't really caught on over here in TN. But I kind of like it in the picture. :o) He has good hair for it!

I don't like manbands or man kapris, but I woudln't have even noticed your forehead. I think you're adorable and I think your hair looks fine back.

Your hair like that is a YES. (It looks freakin' adorable.) Manbands is a NO.... (Unless you're on stage with a guitar... and even then it's questionable.)

Girl, I say EMBRACE your forehead! I feel as though I have a large forehead too, but I always get so many compliments whenever I choose to wear my hair pulled back in a ballerina bun. You look adorable, so work it with all you've got! And wow, those mountains are truly breathtaking. I'd love to see a sight like that!

Sorry for your cold sweetie! But the good thing is that it won't last too long. I think I've developed an allergy to this cold and humid weather in southern Italy. :-(( My nose is always congested and cold and I'm constantly blowing my noise when the temperature drops.

ahahahahaha, manband. I'm cracking up - why would a dude wear that?? He looks like a cheap Conan the Barbarian.
I don't like my top knots totally pulled back either, so I always make sure to get some 'whispies' pulled around my face. I know, I'm super technical. :)

Janette said...

YES! So glad someone finally did something about those no reply bloggers.. lol.. love them to pieces..but I can't go over to their blogs to reply from my phone.. it's too hard!

Your hair looks great Gentri:-) You wear it any and every way you want- your forehead is perfect. I am reading the sequel to Matched right now and it is SO GOOD.

I think the manband is ONLY okay if you're a crazy hippy. If you're just a wannabe crazy hippy...leave that nonsense at home where it belongs. And the what? Five head? NONEXISTANT. Best forehead I've ever seen anywhere...and I've never told anyone that before. Seriously I would punch a duck for such clear skin. MMm. Embrace that beautifully clear face!
