What is Package Pals you ask? Well, here's the story:
Back in August my good bloggy friend Pia from who is from Germany, blogged about how the American versions of Harry Potter are her favorites because they're the prettiest in her opinion. She said how she one day hoped to own them. I giggled to myself, because that is something that is so easily accessible to me. So I offered to send her one.
The next day she posted about how her mom had brought American candy back for her and how she loved it so much. Since I was already sending the first Harry Potter book I offered to throw in her choice of American candy as well. She requested strawberry and chocolate licorice since she had only ever had black, and then whatever else I wanted to throw in.
Since I was sending her something, she offered to send me something. When she asked what I wanted I told her that I wanted something that was completely German. I wanted a piece of her country since I can't exactly get up and travel there. As we emailed back and forth I randomly joked about how we were "Package Pals".
We had so much fun sending and receiving our little packages that I had to post about it. When I did, I couldn't believe the reaction! EVERYONE wanted their own "Package Pal". And so the idea was born. Ellie from The Usual Mischief was so sweet and had a button ready to go for me and the post announcing Package Pals was up the next day!
What happens is- I had anyone who wanted to participate email me. I then set them up with someone from a different part of the world than they were in. They got to know one another and sent each other goodies that either represented their place of residence or that their Package Pal had requested. This week they're all taking turns and posting about their wonderful experiences. It's been a blast and this week is going to be so much fun! So PLEASE check back each day and explore the posts and blogs of those who participated. You won't be disappointed!
Oh! And if you didn't get a chance to participate this time- no worries! I will definitely Be doing it again!!

That is so cool. I want to be a package pal!! (: I would want a Harry Potter book too, if I were out of the states.... and maybe Twix... I don't know if they sell that anywhere else haha
Ah! That looks so fun! She really did send you some of the best parts of Germany. Haribo candies are THE. BEST. I fully plan on going to a store, cleaning them out, and packing an entire suitcase full of the stuff before we head back to the states.

Gentri - thank you so much for setting this up. It truly has been an amazing experience. So excited for thebig reveal this week!
LOVE this idea. It's so cool and neat because you get to send someone something special and they send something awesome in return! I know a while back, Sydney, from the Daybook, and other bloggers sent around a purse, took pictures with it, and sent it to the next person. I think that is actually a really cool idea! anyways, enough ranting :)
